Today Dave had a "parade" of caregiver friends watching over him while I went to a work meeting in Livonia. I told him when I left that they would be good for him to discuss the radiation treatment with. He called me about 11 am (I walked out of my meeting to answer) to tell me he wanted to go ahead with radiation one more time....to help him feel better. I feel relieved that he was able to think it through and decide for himself. Although it is "us", it's more about him now. I'm the supporter with all of our friends and family. He is such a CW!
We go in at 7:15 in the am....all day at the hospital again. I'll leave for awhile to work. Julie and Joni are coming by. Thanks to all our friends who brought the positive thoughts of hope back to us. It's an up and down fight. Although we may know the ending point, the journey continues.

ReplyDeleteTell Dave thanks for continuing to follow this path of treatment. The doctors learn so much from each patient! His treatments will help generations of cancer patients and him at the same time.
