Snowed in...almost

I didn't get on the road this morning. Over 300 schools etc. are closed up to and around GR. Just doesn't make sense to drive with poor visiblity. I did get a lot done at home, then took Dave to get lab and shot so he didn't have to walk outside. Good news is: he saw the MD and NP and they had seen the first CT scan results sharing with Dave they are excellant. Hgb is down to 8.4. He could wait for blood but Sunday's a big day. So now we have to go get Type and Cross (he has a unit on hold from his sister Al) for 2 units. Tomorrow PET scan at 11 am, then he'll go to get the blood and will be there probably until 6 or 7 pm. At least it will be done. I'm just going to take the day off and be with him.

  1. Sunday's a big day? What's up? Lee, I have to tell you you are the most amazing CWW!!!! Dave, love you, keep on pluggin along...
I haven't had a cigarette in 48 hrs. It's tough as hell. Taking it one day at a time. I'm becoming more and more convinced that's the only way to live this life. No looking ahead, no looking back. At least, not too far in either direction....

  2. Sunday Dave's playing with Bryan Lubeck in Merrillville. Long day would have been a better description. Practice at 1:30 and plays at 7 or 8 pm.

That is so great Mimi! I know you can do it and think of the money you'll save (hehe). Plus food will taste better....... anyway I'm proud of you.

  3. Thanks...but it's day three now on the patch and I am smoking my 2nd cig of the night. First one(s)since Tues nite. My hope is that, with the patch on, it will make me totally sick so that I'll never want to look at another cigarette again. If this doesn't work, I'll have my doc prescribe Wellbutrin and start over. He'll have to give me a dx of depression, though, cuz the dumbass insurance co. won't cover Wellbutrin for smoking cessation. How short-sighted is that? Thx for the Xmas card--can't believe with all you have going on that you got them out already! CWW!!!!
XOXO to you both, and to the critters too!
