Pictures: Me and Loni at Artoberfest last weekend; Duck Nachos and watermelon salad at Brewery Vivant; parking sign by the brewery; Stacey and me at the "walk"; Linder and me; Catherine's sign; Julie's mom and Joni- SURVIVORS!

Last weekend Loni Maki and I went to the Benton Harbor Artoberfest. Smoked baloney was the food of conversation.... There were artist tents and bands. Dave Carlock played and 3 of the member of Maxon Struwin were in the headliner. It was so great to see Mike, Josh and Tom! Great guys and great musicians that Dave was so proud to play with and call friends.

This weekend was the Komen Race for the Cure in the GR area. The YaYas have gone sine about 2002 (right Joni?), maybe about a year after Joni was diagnosed and went through treatment.... I missed the last 2 years. Tradition has been as many of us as can go into GR the night before and send the night at the Residence room, sharing 1 or 2 rooms. It's a sleep over! This year Catherine and Julie and I went in Friday night. Unfortunately, Catherine got a migraine. Julie and I ventured out to Brewery Vivant and had some amazing food. The beer wasn't bad either. Joni and Sue met us in the morning and we headed over to the race. I was so happy to see 2 co-workers from my KCI days- Linda and Stacey.

All in all, great events the last two weekends. I continue hearing from friends and family about 10-10-11 and will post our plans when finalized.

peave, love, groove
