Pictures: X-mas lives on; the first raised vegetable garden bed.
So we're having a few yard work days. This coming weekend (hopefully) the vegetable garden and the x-mas garland is COMING DOWN. Yeah! We're going to buy stuff tomorrow night. The goal is- fun, fun, fun all summer long.
Radiation is going well. Dave has 7 more treatments and then they'll let him recover for 6 weeks. After another MRI of the brain, they'll determine if he can have targeted radiation to any remaining brain tumors. He's having "heart burn" and burping a lot. Then there's the hiccups. Tomorrow appointment with his regular MD. Neurologist appointment today was good. Dave has some problems reading. Words get left out or he sees another letter and it doesn't make sense. The neurologist said it's from the swelling on the right side (I think that's the side) of the brain and hopefully that will improve as the swelling goes down.
We have the best CW of all!
Not sure if Dave's interested, but Dad had a "cocktail" called Xyloxylin for the heartburn when he was having Proton Radiation. It's a combo: maalox and some -caine (numbing medication)that he drank by straw before eating. Just a thought?
