Went to the movies

Dave had a good day. He's working on a couple projects- one is tuning an electronic keyboard ...oh I'm sorry... his miniMoog. We went to dinner and a movie with the Kings tonight. Saw "Sherlock Holmes" and thought it was pretty darn good. BUT it's not the Sherlock Holmes I remember...haha.
Tomorrow it's time to start putting X-mas stuff away. Like every year, I hope to get it organized when I put it away. Dave is happy to "supervise". I just don't want to spend much time outside in the cold, it's just good to stay inside.

  1. I have to say: Mag and I saw Sherlock Holmes last night, and despite the excellent cast, and high hopes based on the Jeremy Brett version, I thought it fell a little flat. The one area in which it was STELLAR, however, was the MUSIC! I thought the music was incredible! Good job Hans Zimmer! I wanna find a great tack piano patch now! Is Dave tuning his Voyager, or does he have a Model D as well?

  2. Hey David, it's the Voyager. I call it my Minimoog so that's where Lee got that. Model D....I wish. The Moog tech emailed me the detailed instructions on tuning and scaling all 3 oscillators. The 3 girls are singing beautifully together now!

  4. AMOS!! I've spoken with him a couple times. SUPER nice guy. He walked me through removing the LEDs on the wheels on a hardware upgrade on my former Voyager. His brother has this fanatical review of compressors for bass players at this site: http://www.ovnilab.com/reviews/toppicks.shtml

Sadly, my Voyager is no longer with me. I sold it a couple years ago to Eric Frampton (yeah, I asked, too. No relation.) who's the keyboard player with the B-52s So if you see it on tour... wave!
